Rodents:
Rats and Mice are the most common type of infestation that you will find in a building. This causes many problems as they can chew through pipes and wires as well as spreading numerous diseases. They also breed very rapidly meaning a small number of rodents can become a large infestation over a very short period of time.
Bed Bugs:
Bed bugs have recently become more common due the vast increase in the movement of people. Bed bugs are usually transported in bags and suitcases as they don't spend enough time on the host (humans) to be transported. Like rodents they also spread diseases however bed bugs do so through biting the human host infection and irritation.
Cockroaches:
You will normally find one of two types of cockroaches in a building. German cockroaches or Oriental cockroaches. German cockroaches are smaller, can climb walls and are a brown colour. Oriental cockroaches are bigger and are a darker black colour. However they have trouble climbing walls.
Wasps:
The most common wasp in England is aptly named the common wasp or vespula valgaris as it is known in Latin. They will normally nest in an attic or wall cavity and you will usually only see the signs of entry rather than the nest itself. Although they can nest in awkward places we can still deal with the problem wherever they choose to nest.
Squirrels:
When squirrels they get into your attic they become a pest. They can chew through your insulation, pipes and cables. This can cause all sorts of problems around your house. They will also normally create a nest. We deal with squirrels by using a number of different methods.
Pigeon & Bird Work:
As well as dealing with rodents and insects we also remove and carry out preventative measures against pigeons. Pigeons not only cause a nuisance and spread disease, they also foul everywhere. Because of this, as well as removing pigeons we clean up after them. All pigeon and bird work is carried out with a free onsite quotation beforehand.
To prevent pigeons we will usually fix spikes, use tension springs and wires or erect netting on the buildings. Some sites will only need one of the above where as others may need a combination of the above. Spikes, tension springs and wires are used on small ledges to stop roosting, while netting is normally used to prevent access of birds to larger gaps such as balconies.
Fly Control:
By law premises providing food services are required to show that 'due diligence' against flying insects has been taken. We offer a service contract to supply and maintain electric fly killers. This is usually for commercial premises but is also carried out in residential premises. We offer a whole range of different fly killers for various premises.
Regular Service & Maintenance Work:
We can offer service contracts to industrial and commercial clients. This provides for inspections at your premises every 6 weeks which allows early detection of any pest problems and the appropriate control measures to be carried out onsite. This also includes
emergency callouts in case you notice a problem arising between routine visits. We provide service contracts against all kinds of rodents and insects.
